If you want to work at one of the coolest venues in town, the Edge of Madness would like to learn more about you! We are currently accepting applications for our 2005 season and will begin interviewing candidates in April. Please complete the application below and we will contact you if there is a suitable position available. However, before you submit an application, please note:
- Only SERIOUS applicants need apply!
- Applicants MUST be 16 years or older to work at the Edge.
- Work permits are required for 16/17 year olds.
- Pay scale varies according to position/job description.

Looking for some spooky, scary fun this Halloween? Between seven full-scale haunted houses and a multitude of smaller local events, you're sure to find something to scare your socks off! Most of the commercial haunted houses are located at I-35 and 12th Street, under the 12th St. Bridge (just north of Kemper Arena). Other Halloween Activities
Stage Fright at Starlight
Three haunted houses: the Sci-Fi Channel's "Alien Experiment", the treacherous "Rock 'n Roll Prom Gone Wrong", and the dreadfully cannibalistic "Lechter's Meat Processing Plant". Admission also allows unlimited access to other attractions, including amusement rides & games, Time Warner Cable's Sci-Fi Theatre, and DJs or live music by local bands on selected nights. Starlight Theatre is located in Swope Park near the Kansas City Zoo. $8 general admission ($2 off coupons available at Mr. Goodcents, or $2 off with your AMC movie ticket stub). Crown Center Pumpkin Patch
October 18th, 2003, 10am-4pm. Celebrate Halloween a few days early with games, snacks and entertainment. Visitors can take their pick from 30,000 lbs. of pumpkins. Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is FREE and includes all entertainment on the pavilion stage. Booths featuring Halloween games and inflatable rides will be set up all around Crown Center Square. Tickets for pumpkins and games will be sold for 50 cents each. Pumpkins will cost five tickets ($2.50). All proceeds go to Children's Therapeutic Learning Center. Call (816) 274-8444.
Boo at the Zoo
October 25th, 2003, 9am-4pm. Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Zoo to celebrate Halloween. Young trick-or-treaters will have a ghoulishly good time with a costume contest, entertainment, animal feedings, games and more. Free with Zoo admission. Call (816) 513-5701.
Worlds of Fun's HalloWeekends

Lenexa Enchanted Forest
October 22-23, 2003, 6-9pm. Soon signs of "Magic" will begin to appear along the jogging trail in Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park. Once the magic begins it will only be a matter of time before enchanting marionettes, magicians, dancers, actors, puppets & friendly animals will be on hand for Lenexa's Enchanted Forest!
